Spread the Warmth: Join Indigo's Holiday Food Drive with Move For Hunger

Bringing Holiday Cheer to Neighboring Families

While the holidays are a time of celebration, the winter months present a serious challenge for millions of families struggling with food insecurity. Across the nation, cold weather often forces families to choose between heating their homes and buying groceries. In the DC Metro Area, food pantries experience their highest demand of the entire year between November and December.

To help meet this need, Indigo at McLean Station is renewing our partnership with Move For Hunger for a special Holiday Food Drive, running from mid-November through mid-December.

How the Holiday Drive Works

We want to break our collection records from earlier this fall! The process remains simple and contact-free:

  1. Pick up your bag: Grab an official collection bag from the leasing office.
  2. Fill it up: Stock it with unopened, shelf-stable items. Reminder: Please avoid glass jars or bottles, as they frequently break during transport.
  3. Return it: Bring your completed bag back to the leasing office by close of business on December 15th.

When our drive wraps up, Move For Hunger's transport network will pick up our collective haul and distribute it directly to families in need across our local Northern Virginia neighborhoods.
