Free Public Pickleball at Metro Park: The Ultimate Guide for Indigo Residents

Tysons' Newest Recreation Spot

Pickleball continues to sweep the nation as the fastest-growing sport, and residents at Indigo at McLean Station have premier access to the trend. Earlier this year, the gorgeous outdoor Pickleball at Metro Park courts officially opened right outside the McLean Metro Station north entrance.

The facility features four regulation-sized outdoor pickleball courts built with premium Laykold acrylic hardcourt surfacing and professional-grade nets meeting official USA Pickleball standards. Whether you're a seasoned player or picking up a paddle for the first time, it's the perfect spot to get active this autumn.

Cost, Hours, and Scheduling

The absolute best part? Access to these courts is completely free to the public! Here are the core logistics you need to know before you play:

  • Operating Hours: The courts are open daily from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM through the beginning of November.
  • How to Reserve: While walk-ups are technically permitted if a court is empty, reservations are highly encouraged. Bookings are handled seamlessly through the CourtReserve platform.
  • Important Requirement: Every individual player in your group must create a CourtReserve account and sign the online liability waiver before stepping onto the court.
  • What to Bring: Players must provide their own paddles and balls, as onsite equipment is very limited. Be sure to wear athletic sneakers with non-marking soles.

Getting There from Indigo

Reaching the courts couldn't be simpler. You can take a brief 5-minute drive or walk down the street toward the McLean Metro station entrance. If you do decide to drive, the Metro Park (Block D) Garage and the Wegmans Garage offer two hours of completely free parking.

Gather some neighbors from Indigo, book a slot on CourtReserve, and enjoy a free game before the courts transition for the winter season!
